Michelle Fiore is an award-winning soprano, educator, and arts advocate whose dynamic career spans opera, musical theater, concert performance, and innovative interdisciplinary collaborations throughout California’s Coachella Valley and beyond.
Recognized for her artistic excellence, Fiore received the 2019 Desert Theater League Award for Outstanding Supporting Female Performer – Cabaret/Revue for her portrayal of Carlotta in Phantom of the Opera. She was also named Audience Favorite and Second Place Winner in the 2018 McCallum Theatre Open Call Talent Competition. Her commitment to creative exploration has led to collaborations with acclaimed artists, including appearances in Transformance Ritual and Blessing, an improvisational performance experience created by the late Simeon Den and Tim McLaughlin for the Artists Center at the Galen.
A versatile performer equally at home on the operatic stage and concert platform, Fiore is a founding member of Coachella Valley Classical Voices and serves as Soloist for The First Church of Christ, Scientist in Palm Desert. She regularly performs with leading regional ensembles, including Choral Masterworks, Desert Outreach Synagogue, St. John’s Festival Singers, Desert Chamber Friends, Modern Men, Desert Winds Freedom Band, and the California Desert Chorale as well as countless other.
Fiore has presented two sold-out solo concerts at Coachella Valley Repertory Theatre and has appeared at numerous signature community events, including Tour de Palm Springs, Hot Rodeo, and the American Documentary and Animation Film Festival. Dedicated to community engagement, she frequently lends her voice to benefit charitable organizations and educational initiatives throughout the region.
Her operatic repertoire includes the Queen of the Night (The Magic Flute), Dew Fairy (Hansel and Gretel), Soeur Constance (Dialogues of the Carmelites), and Carlotta (Phantom of the Opera). Additional stage and concert credits include Lisaveta (A Month in the Country), La Fée (Cendrillon), The Goodwife (The Wise Women), and Beatriz (Christopher Columbus). Upcoming engagements include the title role in a condensed production of Madama Butterfly and a solo recital at the historic Plaza Theatre. Upcoming performances include various concert engagements as well as the role of Donna Anna in 2027.
A dedicated musician and lifelong learner, Fiore pursued her Artist Diploma studies at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, earned a Master of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music, and holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. Her teachers and mentors have included César Ulloa, Mignon Dunn, George Shirley, Cynthia Donnell, L. Wayne Batty, A. Louise Toppin, Donna Dease, and Eve Ann Eichhorn.
Beyond the stage, Fiore serves as a Special Education teacher at Katherine Finchy Elementary School in Palm Springs, where she is inspired daily by the creativity, resilience, and potential of her students.
